2020 - Year of COVID-19

~~oOo~~

2020 for us was a total writeoff.  The COVID-19 virus put a stop to our overseas travel.
Not that we had much planned as we have been concentrating on our retirement.
However, we had booked a trip to Bali mid-year to have a well deserved work break.

So that didn't happen.
Instead, we escaped a couple of hours up the road to our favourite bush retreat complete with wood fire and outdoor hot tub.  We did this a few times this year.  Short breaks away from mundane life is a good pick-up.

This time we took the boys away.  Jesse has developed an interest in photography and I had just bought a new Canon 80D so he got my 60D and we had some photo fun.

So this blog features some nice photos taken in and around Toodyay.
Enjoy.

We revisited our favourite winery, Avonbrook Wines.

They do the BEST EVER CHEESE BOARD!

The atmosphere is homely and decorated with Native Indian culture and gifts.

This a small boutique winery run by Carol and Gary.  We have visited a couple of times now and have thorougly enjoyed ourselves.

The country scenery on the way is always a pleasure to see.

We passed paddocks with sheep and an old building ruin with a scenic mountain back ground.
We even saw a blue tree!

Coming back from the winery we had a quick pit stop at the local outback post office.
An old train carriage post office?  Now that is uniquie 😁.

Speaking of Photography, Jesse and I spent a few hours in Perth just wandering around and taking photos.

I am amazed that over the years there is so much fabulous grafitti everywhere.  There are some talented artists here.

Jesse, ever so much the in-fashion lad also enjoyed a bit of modling.  I reckon he is in the wrong job 😉
