The Big Lap - Bremer Bay

The Victorians at Pemberton Big Brook Dam Campsite told us that Bremer Bay was awesome so we fuelled the Isuzu and headed out for the day.  Bremer Bay is about 50 minutes from Wellstead Bush Camp where we were staying.  Well, it was nice but the dudes from VIC obviously haven’t been to Queensland.  😊

Anyway, it was an enjoyable day.

We checked out the inlet.  Wow, this place is absolutely full of birds, ducks and black swans.

Further around the corner was a nice beach that we drove onto.

Just near the Caravan Park there was a fish cleaning station and hubby stopped to check out what they were catching.  Seems that the beach to go to is Short Beach.  Hubby got the directions and we headed out there.  Nice little beach.

The video below is taken at Short Beach.

I had a pamphlet on the Wellstead Museum at Bremer Bay.  It also has a café that sounded good.  So, we pulled up about lunch time to check it out.

This is definitely a must see in Bremer Bay.  I am not a history buff but I do like the country Museums.  Hubby and I spent a bit of time reminiscing over some of the stuff they had.  Hubby even got out his phone to take pictures to show Dad.

In the Café I spied the apricot jam made by a Wellstead lady so just had to buy it.  We shared fresh fish and chips and a local Albany beer.  Yuuum.  😊

On the way back to the bush camp we spied an unusual tree, just before the road to nowhere.   😏
