This is only a small page because we have visited Katherine before in 2009 and did the Gorges as well as a chopper ride over the Katherine Gorges. See my 2009 Katherine page.

KATHERINE HOT SPRINGS
We stayed at the Boab Caravan Park near town. It was very close to the Katherine Hot Springs.
The water here is crystal clear. You can see right down to the bottom. We walked up to the end and floated down stream, over some waterfalls and under a bridge. It was really enjoyable.

After leaving Katherine, we could tell that we were heading towards the tropics as the landscape changed drastically to include lots of little palm trees.

ADELAIDE RIVER INN
We broke our journey to Darwin just over half way at the Adelaide River Inn for lunch.
This is where you will find the Buffalo that featured in Crockodile Dundee.
Lunch was nice. Very tender lemon pepper squid, washed down with a coldie.
